A Rede Africana de Epidemiologia de Campo (AFENET), em colaboração com o Programa de Formação em Epidemiologia de Campo e Laboratório do Quénia, está a organizar a 8.ª Conferência Científica da AFENET, que terá lugar em Mombaça, de 5 a 10 de novembro de 2023. A conferência deste ano é subordinada ao tema "Reforço dos sistemas de saúde pública em África para uma maior segurança sanitária mundial: O Papel dos Programas de Formação em Epidemiologia de Campo e de Laboratório"

A conferência constitui uma plataforma para os residentes e diplomados dos Programas de Formação em Epidemiologia no Terreno e em Laboratórios (FELTP), a comunidade regional e mundial de saúde pública, bem como as agências multilaterais, partilharem experiências em matéria de epidemiologia no terreno e outras facetas da segurança sanitária mundial.

Os residentes e os diplomados dos FELTP em África (Avançados, Intermédios e da Linha da Frente) são convidados a apresentar resumos através dos seus directores de programa/consultores residentes. Os membros do corpo docente dos FELTP, bem como outros profissionais de saúde pública com trabalho científico que esteja em consonância com o tema/subtemas da conferência, são também convidados a apresentar resumos.

O tema da 8ª Conferência Científica da AFENET é "Reforço dos sistemas de saúde pública em África para uma maior segurança sanitária mundial.
